Aimee Blake

Aimee is problem solver, systems thinker and storyteller on a mission to mobilise change. Passionate about empowering others, Aimee is the co-founder of Girls who Grow a charity driving systemic change by reconnecting youth to food systems and nature whilst helping them re-imagine the future.

She is also the co-chair of Future Farmers, a group of Kiwis inspiring solutions and championing a united, profitable and healthy food and fibre sector in Aotearoa. Aimee is deeply passionate about sustainability and in her day-to-day works at EY as a senior consultant in the climate change and sustainability services team.

Aimee is the 6th generation farmer on her family farm. With a strong connection to the land she is a strong believer that human health and nutrition start in soil and the food system. Aimee's background stems in food marketing, agribusiness and social research. Last year she finished her second master's degree at Lincoln University, specialising in agribusiness and farm management. In her personal time, Aimee greatly values well-being and enjoys learning about the power of the mind, body, and breath as a certified vinyasa ashtanga yoga teacher.

Aimee will be co-facilitating a masterclass during the Food Resilience Day the Wao Summit 2024.
