Jo Tilson
Jo is a passionate conservationist and outdoor enthusiast with 25 years of experience in conservation, specialising in threatened species management and monitoring birds and animal pests.
She has worked in both the private and public sectors and runs a small contracting business focused on predator monitoring and outcome monitoring of birds, particularly kiwi species and small forest birds.
In her spare time, Jo enjoys cross-country skiing in winter, swimming in the lake, and tramping in the hills during summer. She has a daughter and three dogs, and all these activities, combined with her current role at Southern Lakes Sanctuary, keep her quite busy and out of trouble.
Jo is speaking at the Makaroa Mohua Mahi Masterclass at the Wao Summit 2024.
