The Riverton Heritage Harvest Festival is an annual event held in Riverton, Southland, New Zealand, celebrating the region's rich tradition of homegrown produce and sustainable living. Organized by the South Coast Environment Society, the festival offers a weekend filled with interactive displays, workshops, demonstrations, music, and competitions. Attendees can participate in over 30 workshops covering topics such as fermenting foods, caring for fruit trees, making sourdough bread, harakeke (flax) weaving, gardening, and even African drumming and dance. The festival also features heritage fruit and vegetable displays, educational stalls, and a Saturday evening harvest meal accompanied by music and dancing. The upcoming 16th Annual Riverton Heritage Harvest Festival is scheduled for the weekend of 29–30 March 2025.
