Glenorchy Herbs and Healing is holding a hands-on herbalism workshop at the Sherwood in March. We will start in the Sherwood garden for a Plant Walk where you will learn about herbal remedies and how plants used for food can also be used for medicine. We will collect some plant material and take this in to the workshop venue (we will also bring more from our Glenorchy healing garden). After learning about the basics of herbal remedy-making, you will have the opportunity to create your own tinctures and vinegars to take home with you.
We are committed to teaching whole plant medicine to locals so that they can use this knowledge to improve their own health.
Herbalism is fun and available to everyone using plants we grow in our gardens or that can be foraged from wild places. Herbs are available to all and their powerful effects are our birthright as members of the global ecosystem and children of Mother Earth.
